Honey bees are the world's most important pollinators of food crops and around a third of the food we eat every day relies on pollination! There are other insects who pollinate, along with birds and bats but bees are responsible for the vast majority of pollination.
Given that they are so important, I am totally committed to supporting honey bees in Bristol and I share ways that you can help to protect and support our honey bees on my social media platforms, when I give talks and at stalls and events.
I want to start a movement of people in Bristol who are taking simple steps to make a real difference and hope that by us acting as a community we can increase honey bee numbers and start to ensure that we are supporting crop production both now and in the future.
